2nd International Conference on Circular Economy for Textiles and Plastics
Remadyl had the chance to attend the second edition of the ‘International Conference on a Circular Economy for Plastics and Textiles’ that was held on the 15th and 16th of December 2020. The event had unfortunately been postponed due to the restrictions imposed by the health emergency. It was decided, eventually, to hold it virtually to allow everyone to attend in safety.
The main host of the event was Remadyl Coordinator, Centexbel, together with VKC, and in collaboration with Fedustria and Plastiwin. The rich agenda of the event covered two half-days. On the first day, the discussion concerned EU strategy and policies that are paving the way to circularity and sustainability. Two main topics were explored on the second day: ‘Demand & Supply’ and ‘Textile and Plastics Recycling’.
Attendants made up a rather variegated audience. Both large companies and innovative SMEs were present, together with sectoral clusters and other projects complementary to Remadyl. In this framework, we had the chance to expose the value of our project to the participants through a poster presentation and to network with key players in this extremely dynamic sector.
