REMADYL – Activities IRIS (July 2023)
A couple of months ago, Iris team travelled to Deceuninck Compound & Recycling plant in Diskmuide (Belgium), in order to perform the demonstration of the LIBS sorter developed in the project. Deceuninck users realized a battery of tests to fully study and analyze the capacities of the LIBS sorter for industrial requirements. The equipment has been able to efficiently sort white and rigid PVC with lead content as low as 0.1%. Now Iris is pushing the boundaries of the technology in order to have a faster and affordable system able to also sort coloured PVC with lead content.
